    Driveline Delivery

    To all concerned"

The issue of the timely delivery of the Driveline has been discussed may times on this web site. FIrst off the Driveline delivery is the responsibility of the United States Postal Service. For any member to blame the "membership Guys" is totally out of line and unacceptable. They have no control over the delivery after it leaves the printing house. The delivery of the Driveline has been placed into a committee by the NCRS President, which was posted on this site some time ago to inform the membership that it was being looked at. I know they are investigating this isssue and looking at the pros and cons, becaused I have talked to the committee on numerous occasion concerning this subject. What everybody should remember is that this is not as easy as just creating a first class mailing and doing it. There are a lot of other things that come into play. If certain individuals continue to use this site to personnally attack NCRS employees, officers or board members, you will leave me with no alternative but to suspend your useage of this site.

This message does not require any further discussion, lets let the committee do their job and report to the Board of Directors.

    Thank-you.

    Re: Driveline Delivery

Just who are you anyway? You have one post on listed on your profile. Are you an NCRS employee, officer or board member or the moderator? Just what is your capacity in this organization that gives you the power to suspend our access to this site? Inquiring minds want to know.

If you're not blowing hot air, show us your badge and credentials, thank you.

              Bill,
What irrates me is that I posted 2 messages earlier that I thought this might be a long thread. Nothing more, nothing less. I didn't take a position on his post or the time frame of Driveline delivery. I just said "this is going to be a real long thread". Both of those postings by me were deleted. I have been a member only three years and usually don't get into discussions here that have any contraversy but this is crazy. This is suppose to be a free country and one should be able to say "this is going to be a long thread" without being censored. There, I got that off my chest and feel better now (unless i'm deleted again).

                Re: Driveline Delivery

It may be a free country, but it is a private organization's website.

I've noticed several posts disappear. At first I thought I was just imagining I had read something, but after some careful watching (open a window and leave it all day), I know that many have disappeared, along with a few people.

BTW, my Driveline came in the mail in a brown envelope the first part of January. I see the Corvette Restorer has hit Orlando, so let's see if it gets up here to Ocala in the next day or two.

                  Re: Driveline Delivery

I agree with the fact that this site is not the place to attack persons, the NCRS etc, in fact, in this not the place to discuss the driveline at all to my opinion as it is cleary set up for technical discussion purposes. If it is a bit off topic, then I don't have problems with that, but keeping it a bit on topic would be great.

I cleary oppose to the fact that we cannot discuss items (in another forum or setting) that concern us all, such as the delivery of the the driveline. If this is a mature discussion this should be possible, and if this also implies that people feel that they are attecked, then so be it. They are responsible for timely delivery, and the fact that they use US post or whatever delivery method is just their choise, but still they are responsible for timely delivery. If this is not possible with US post, then other methods should be considered and discussed in board meetings.

                  Erik

                    Correct forum

Correct forum is to e-mail your NCRS Regional Representative, Officers (https://www.ncrs.org/contact.html ) and/or your Chapter President's. This is the proper protocol to change things. Members can also get directly involved and attend the twice annual Board of Director's meetings. Getting involved in the organization and working to promote change can actually accomplish positive things for NCRS. Board Meetings are held every March and the day after the completion of the National Convention. Regards, Gary....

Interesting. My post was deleted as well. That is TOTALLY inappropriate. We are all entitled to our opinions.
For that matter who the heck do you think you are deleting a post, just becasue it does not agree with your opinion? Opinions are like bellybuttons, or some other part or your anatomy, everyone has one. If I have a post deleted again becasue of my differing opinion, I will seriously consider dropping my membership in NCRS.

                        Lack of Professionalism

My concern is the tone taken by the initial writer. He doesn't deign to introduce himself as an officer of the club, takes a heavy handed tone: "you will leave me with no alternative but to suspend your useage (sic) of this site", and presumes to have the final word on the discussion with "This message does not require any further discussion...".

In the long run, leading by suppressing opposing viewpoints is not particularly effective.

                        Dave.
