    Ground on C-2 ignition shield

I purchased the stainless ground strap that rivets to the front of the distrubitor shielding. It was riveted on the car and sat for 3 weeks. I drove it last Saturday about 10 miles. This AM I looked and it had broken and fallen on the back of the block. I retrieved the piece and it look to be about 1/2 the thickness of the original piece. Has any one had this happen and who sells a good one.

    Dale,

Mine broke off 37 years ago, and I haven't replaced it. Took a 1 point deduction for it.

My ground strap was broken when I bought the car 25 yrs ago. But there was enough left of it to still reach the air cleaner base, so it still"works" as a ground, but, of course takes a condition hit.

I purchased one from LIC for a big block. It seems to be doing the job. You can't flex them much as they will break so when you rivet it on be careful
