    Dave,
Enjoyed meeting and spending time with you at BJ on Friday. Your car is truly a piece of history.
Unfortunately, your story is becoming all too commmon with consignors at this and other auctions. Glad at least you got a decent sales result, and hope to run into you again at an NCRS function.

I went to BJ with your car being one of those that I was really looking forward to seeing up close and as it went across the block - I have to agree that I was dissapointed as to where they placed your car (inside the main tent yes, but in a back row - no chance to see it up close).

I was equally dissapointed at the effort he auctioneer put into the sale of your car - in fact my biggest revelation was just how much lies with the effort of the auctioneer, and that did vary greatly car to car. On some cars they would pause, Craig might say "folks, this is a very special car, blah blah" and on others they seemed content to drop the hammer without too much hype. Sure I have noticed it while watching BJ on Speed Channel, but it is even more obvious when watching ALL of the cars go across and in person. I am happy to hear that you were satisfied with the price you got, but I can't help but wonder where it would have gone to if described properly - you were on in prime time, at least.

I agree with Jack in that it seems very fishy to me that some cars are worked to death but yet others are hammered very quickly when there still seems to be some interest in them. The Brass Hat 435 was another car that got hammered way too quickly.
