Paragon Exhaust Manifolds for 63 FI

Does anyone know the quality/acceptance of the manifolds offered by Paragon. They have repro 942 and 902's for a 63 FI car and was curious how they compare.

    Thanks

    Joe--
I bought a 902 for a 62 fuel car--they are very nicely done--but detectable. They do have the casting slag as they should. The numerals are right size and location, etc. The originals have some rectangular humps along the parting line on the top--the repros do, too, but they are configured and sized differently than the originals. A minor, picky point to be sure, but one that gives further credit to the guy who has the car that is exactly (read original parts) as the factory made it. If I were heading the judging team and the difference was detected, I'd lobby for 1 point (out of 4000 total) deduction.

Mike..I seem to remember buying replacement exhaust manifolds for my 63 conv. back in the early 80's..over the counter at GM and I as I recall they were not really 63 vintage correct either..but some service replacement.

Sounds like the current repo is better than that service replacement. Now that I think about it..the car had headers and dumps when I bought it.

        Hi,
I recently purchased a pair of exhaust manifolds from Paragon for my 1963 340HP. Very nice quality. I am having a small problem with the right hand manifold; to be more correct, I am not sure if it is a manifold problem or a cylinder head problem. The symptom is that the head-manifold seal is not good. I get exhaust leakage. Having said this, I now have the head and the manifold at the machine shop (other issues as well).... I have been told that I should not need to use exhaust manifold seals... If you want, I would be happy to let you know how things turn out.

          Joe and Joe--
These are much better than the GM replacements--those had the wrong lettering, additional lettering, and the casting slag round off on the top.
Correct--these cars came from the factory without gaskets between the head and the manifolds.
