    Stripes on 43n spark plug

How many stripes should there be on a 67 Big Block 43n spark plug?
    Thanks, KEn

        I'll say Four

I have many sets of 43N's from the 60's and 70's and they all have 4 equal size green rings (stripes).

          Ken:
43N plugs produced in '67 for your car had 4 thin green bands. Later versions produced after about 1976 had 3 thin green bands and one thick green band at the top. Hope this helps.

Four thin ones are correct for the '60s.

One thick and three thin are much later.

                  William:
The date should be on one of the small flaps at the end of the box. There is a year (2 digits) and a "clock" with the months in the circle starting with the month they were produced. If the first number in the circle is a 4 then they were produced in April (at least the boxes were, anyway).

The date if this is what I am looking at is 12 72'with 4-2443at the bottom.
