Just an update on the previous thread. It appear that the seller has pulled this aution. see:

    The reason given is:

"The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale."

Let's hope that doesn't mean he sold it!

I don't think he pulled the ad just because we hurt his feelings. That car will show up at some NCRS event and it will probably have all new characters on the engine ID pad. Maybe even correct rosette rivets on the VIN?

Think I'll drop an email to the highest bidders with this link. Nice job on the pics.

            Still wondering

Why someone would go through the trouble of changing a T in a 67 stamp pad to an F. It would have been much simpler to change the "a" to an "i" in "convertable". If he was looking for Flint shouldn't it have been a V in the stamp pad.

I propose an NCRS spelling bee.

Jerry, It was the other way around... They changed the "F" to a "T". I think the restamper did a lot of small blocks in his past. Eric

Bill, I don't mind if he sold it, just not as he advertised it on ebay.... Eric

I care because someday I may be one of the guys who have to explain to a new owner what all I see that is wrong with the car on some judging field.

Bill, You and I agree, if it is sold as advertised... But the Vette like many could be sold as a NOM example, just not for the #matching premium. There is a huge market for any 67. I would be sure to check the frame VIN though to confirm if that is in fact #9346. I think that won't be the case though given the F to T history this car will be remanufactured as a "true" JE at some point. Eric

Oh my goodness, what a Clustertuck

The engine pad was originally stamped with a T, they restamped it with an F, and now they have changed the F back to a T. I'm rolling on the floor.

Pretty sure that was the 2nd picture. I believe it was first stamped F, then later T.
