I have a few questions regarding a recently purchased GM Forged Crank shaft #03963524. It is marked with the ID #3963521 and KC 229B7. Could anyone tell me what is the difference between cranks with the ID #3521 as opposed to ID #3963521? Can anyone decipher the date code 229B7? How can you tell if the crank is made from 5140 or 1053 steel?
