C2 tire opinion: nassau blue s/b WW or goldline?

Opinion please:
What tire looks better on Nassau Blue, white top,

white wall or gold line?

Currently has 1 inch white wall, seems a bit overkill, tires need replacing anyway.

I'm leaning toward a thin whitewall, unless there's overwhelming reason for something else.

Any tire recommendation? Car will be driven, I don't need exact original type.

I have a Nassau Blue Coupe and love my Goldlines. Diamondback Reproduction Firestone tires.

I love the toyo tires so much I have them on my 55 and 67 and the town car , I put 215x15 70 on the front and 225x15 70 on the back of my 67 to give it a little rack . They handle great!!! and look nice.

Had a 65 SB Silver on Red leather. With Goldlines. Did stand out. For 65,66 cars either black or gold tires.

Whitewalls and white top work together well....if you can find pictures of both, put them side by side...don't worry too much....you can always change them.

GREAT CHICK POST I hear you and may have moved me to goldline

indeed, white top and ww go great and can't go wrong

but goldline sends an entirely different statement, something, I don't know, bold

Time to check photos on the web to see both, maybe if I find the energy I'll edit a few photos to compare

Redlines Bob, but

Unfortunately, they were not an option in your year. The picture is my 67 with your color combination. Marina Blue with a white (points off) vinyl top and a (points off) 68 luggage rack. I like it that way and would never change it.

My advice, go for the gold.

Bob,
If you decide to use the gold line tires, remember that you will have to change the bolts that secure the spare tire lid. Also, check the inflated diameter of the new tires to be sure that they will fit inside the spare tire tub.

I've been watching this post with interest. I am going to buy new tires for my '65, Glen Green, white top, white interior car. The picures of the GG with gold lines look great, but in my opinion the current gold lines are too orange on all the tires that I've seen. Since my car has an automatic ("chick" transmission); I don't mind running WW tires.
