    A/C compressor clutch

Hi all. The A/C compressor clutch on my 71 sb has started to spew fine rubber particles. I believe it is the part of the clutch that "catches" the pully when the A/C is engaged. (the back side of the pully) There is a plate that has three tits that look like they are to catch the pully and that plate is now free floating. I can push it up and down with my fingers. (off of course)
I ordered what I thought was a complete clutch from Dr. Rebuild but it was the part with the electrical connector. Not what I needed. Does anybody know the part number of the complete clutch assy for my compressor PN 5910741? I know I can try to find a junk yard one, but incase I can't. Are there any kits to fix my problem?

    Thanks all,

    Chasman

The part of the clutch that isn't working, is in front of the pully, not behind it as originally stated, the end of the clutch.

Go down to your favorite local auto parts store, they will call up on the computer screen the compressor and parts and select what you need. Auto Zone can get most stuff overnight free of charge. Auto Zone has specialized tools for free used to work on compressors. Check the tool mat at the computer stations.
