    Posting photo basics

When posting a photo place the photo on your hosting site. You can do this many ways. The best place to start looking is to call your ISP. Most high speed providers cable/DSL have free space allocated to you. once your file transfer ,ethod is set up you can add or delete without calling anyone.

Once the photo is there, paste the link to the photo in the "image URL" line. In this example I pasted a photo of my 58 as purchased:

A good test is to copy the link by highlighting and the pressing "CTRL" + "c" then pasting it "CTRL" + "V" in a web browser to see if it opens for you. if it does it should work.

      Re: more...

I just right click on the image and click properties there will be the location. Then just copy and paste the url in optional Image.

make sure it is a jpg gif or bmp for best results

make sure it is a jpg gif or bmp for best results. php's html's pdf's doc's will not link properly.

I have attached a picture of the properties window. This is what you see when you right click on an image that exists within a web page and selecting prperties. This will give you the true "address" of the picture.

In the example the true image address is:

This can be highlightd by left clicking and draging your cursor over it then copying.

Instructions very similar to these are always available in the Help link at the top of this page.

As Eric points out, paste your link into your browsers address box. If it opens from there it should open from here.

If the URL or address has cgi? or PHP? in it is will most likely not work. These are extensions for scripts that run to call up the picture. This forum is designed not to let scripts from outside the server run for all kinds of security reasons.
