    62 Horns

In the archives I read posts that said the 442 horn should be on the drivers side and others that said the passenger side. Dale Pearman said the AIM is wrong and that the 441 horn should be on the left or drivers side. I only want to mount these once so what is correct? It appears from holding the horns in position that the AIM is correct and the 442 horn should be on the driver side even though most even number parts are on the passenger side.

Odd numbered parts are on the left side and even numbered parts are on the right.

So do you agree that the AIM is incorrect?

        Greg--
Don't want this to sound like an ego statement, because it isn't. Dale was just passing on what I shared with him when he was very new to the hobby in the late 80's and spent a couple of days at my house in San Diego area. I've had a number of original/unrestored 62's. Every one had the 441 on the left, pointed toward the radiator, and the 442 on the right, pointed at the radiator.
To sum it up--the AIM is incorrect.

Your experience and knowledge about the 62 model year is greatly respected. I will install them as you indicate to be correct.

            Hi Greg

I just posted the same question last week for my 1962 corvette. I had my horns rebuilt by Dennis Portka who is very knowledgable about the horns and told me exactly the same as Mike Ernst mentioned to you. I installed mine as Mike said.
