Tom - The photo of the mirror date code is 3-DCAR-9 so I don't think it's a DMI mirror. It's a later production then early 1967 as the mirror body has no BowTie on the back and it also looks like the mirror glass is glued in because I don't see the retaining ring around the glass which was used to hold the mirror glass in on "orignal' mid year mirrors. Pete
Tom--
That mirror looks like the generic GM replacement over the counter mirror sold for years to supposedly fit 53-62 as well as midyears. It is not close to the Y-50 that is correct 53-62.
I recently found a DMI-dated Y-50 NOS--how that happened, I'm not sure. Incidentally, DMI stands for Donelly Mirror Industries, from what I understand. They and AJAX were the vendors for the chrome bumper C3 cars.
