    C3 Cross shaft bracket location

I'm currently in the process of replacing the OE TH400 transmission with a Muncie four-speed. I'm new to the NCRS website and I'm sure there are a lot of purists out there, so I hope nobody gets too upset that I'm modifying my car. Save for the transmission mod. it's a basically unmolested 1970 350/300 base model T-Top with limited inherent value, hence the swap. I've already gathered all the parts, have the TH400 out, steering column and brake booster removed and have replaced the OE pedal hanger assy. with the manual trans. setup. I now need to weld in the bracket for the cross shaft but want to make sure that I get the location correct. If anybody could provide me with this info or even photos of an installed bracket I'd be, well, really happy....Thanks all.

Mount the ball stud on the motor then use the cross shaft to position the shaft for welding the bracket. As I recall it should be level and 90 degrees to the motor.

Save all parts for the next owner who may

wish to return the car to its original configuration.
      Have fun!!!
