Corvette engine cases & cyl. heads

    Members,
I seem to remember a post about a source for Corvette blocks and cylinder heads. Couldn't find it in the archives.

My engine builder has a client who's looking for a '67 big block and cylinder heads with correct casting numbers for his restoration. If my memory is any good, the supplier was in MI or NJ. All help will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Gene

There's a guy in CT named Chuck Aleksinas that has a lot of BBC stuff. I've bought several items from him. He's not cheap but everything I got was nice stuff. He advertises in Hemmings.

Look out, there are BB with correct 351 castings and blank pads, you will pay dearly for these....12K!!! and up.
        Good luck.

          Try Engines Limited in Wisconsin

          Gene,

          You can also try:

          Engines Limited
          305 W River Dr
          Omro, WI 54963-1061

          Ph: (920) 685-0288
          FAX: 920-685-0377

Engines Limited provides classic Corvette owners with numbers matching engine rebuilding, block stamping, block broaching and searches for hard to locate parts. Also: solid axle Corvette, Sting Ray Corvette, Chevelle, Camaro, Pontiac, Mopar, Chrysler, Oldsmobile.

I bought a very nice pair of correct dated exhaust manifold from them. Reasonably priced and in nice condition. Ask for Randy.

            Thank you gentlemen

            Harry, William, Gary,
Thanks to all of you who responded to my post. I will forward the contact info. to the engine builder and he can pass it on to the owner of the '67. The owner can perform the leg work and negotiating.

This is another one of those sad "do your homework before you buy" stories. The owner bought the '67, supposedly authenic 427 and upon careful inspection found the BB to be a 396. I might suggest that he try to verify that the car was really a BB. Perhaps he has been fooled twice.

            Thanks again, gents.

            Best regards,
            Gene
