    C1 Steering Wheels Revisited

Followed the steering wheel discussion with great interest, but nothing was mentioned of the new 15" reproduction wheels coming out of Michigan. Has anyone seen or used these yet? They are and have been on E-Bay for a few months now. I e-mailed the person and his was very informative and extended an invitation to come see his product and facility. Maybe someone in the area NW of Detroit could check this out. Just a thought.

        Re: or this one...

Eric that second wheel is good looking! Who makes it and Where can I get one? I have got to bet it affords a great deal more belly room for a big guy like me! But does it adversly effect the steering when trying to park?

15" wheels; Chuck Pelton makes them...

Those are made by Chuck Pelton from West Bloomfield, MI. I have his card here, and it says his number is 248-681-4336, or just shoot him off an Email (I have it on my other computer if you want it). Great guy to work with, I've bought a few things from him in the past. I've never had one of this leather wheels, but he's sent me samples of the leather and I wish I could have an interior in the stuff. I actually have one of his painted 15" wheels sitting on my desk. I'll take pictures this weekend and post them. One nice thing about them is that they have a lot of meat to them and are nice to grip. I have a feeling you'll get cut down on NCRS judging for it though But I guess you could always have two wheels, one for show and one for driving. I don't know yet about how they affect the steering, though if you're a big guy to start with I'm sure you're ripped and can handle it

                Corvette Central too.

Corvette Central also makes them. I remember seeing their original prototype for this on one of my visits to their factory several years ago.
