c-1 paint margins

Hi all,

I am in the final stages of body prep and want to know how much prep is required in the trunck and gas tank area. I think it is not very smooth. Also wondering about the paint margins in these areas. Thanks in advance

Susan -

You're right - those surfaces weren't "smooth", sanded, or "prepped"; just clean and paint. Photo below of my '57 may be helpful for color separation in the gas tank area and lid (was done ten years ago).

you have a Beautiful early 57 and that the back seat cushions fit nice against the soft top lid

Thanks, Roy - took many trial fittings (and stuffings of the seat back tops) and "seats in, seats out" exercises to get them that way. Can't imagine getting C1 seat backs stuffed correctly the first time when doing them out of the car and hoping they'll fit the deck lid properly when they go in.

Yup, "old fart" about covers it - became a Medicare participant two weeks ago; hope they don't have judging too

Me too march the 4th Medicare and SS now I can affort a new Corvette.
