    C-2 SB K-19

Could someone tell me the color of the bracket that holds the A.I.R 7033546 valve assembly above the valve cover. It attaches to the intake manifold stud on the right side of the engine(passenger side). I think it was black. Flat, semi, glossy? Thank you Dale

    Dale,

I used to have a 66 327/300 with A.I.R. (HH Code). I don't remember a bracket on the diverter valve.

However, in M.F. Dobbins' Vette Vues Fact Book, there is a photo of a '67 small block with A.I.R., which shows the bracket to which you might be referring (pg. 252). The black and white photo shows a semi-gloss or semi-flat black bracket that appears to be screwed to the diverter valve.

66 and 67 A.I.R. cars are a rare breed. I could never get mine to idle properly.

I'd say gloss black natural fasteners on my original. Might be semi here's a good picture fresh off the press.

          Kevin,

Send me the valves after April and I'll make them look like Dale's. Got the system down now.

          Say, I'm 61 today.

            Jerry,

Happy Birthday my friend, I see you have the plating down but it would look out of place on this old driver.
