    C2 64 Z06 &J56 F40 at Mecum Auction, what?

Just saw a flyer on the Mecum Auction showing a rare 1964 black FI, Lot S511.B, serial number 15,153.
The car is a past 89 Bloomingdale Gold & 97 Hall of Fame. So what's the story behind the story.

They claim it is a Z06 and some of the other options are F40&J56; big tank.
I unserstand that no Z06's existed in 1964 since the package was replaced with the option of ordering the F40 and/or J56, both of which got you back to the 63 Z06.

Also look at Lot S510, a pink 64 styling model with 65 parts interesting car.

There is also a 64 with the famous TWO bar KO's another rare one

I think I read somewhere that it is being auctioned as a pair with the silver 63 ZO6 SWC.

I heard recently that 63 Z06 cars are approaching $1,000,000.00. Better get yours soon.

Based on that the deal at Proteam for a Z06 and a big tank 63 A/C car for a million sounds like a good buy.

i dearly love my 63 ZO6 tanker with 28k original mile/drivetrain/interior/exterior save for repaint. however, at 1 million, i think i can do without it. bring cash. mikie

THERE WAS NO RPO Z-06 IN 1964, however, all the components of Z-06 were available as separate options, so if you ordered FI, four-speed, and Positraction, then added F-40 and J-56, you had the "equivalent" of a second release '63 Z-06 equipment-wise.

Add N-03 and you had the equivalent of the first release Z-06 less the KOs. Add the KOs and you have what was originally included in the first release, but KOs were never installed (at least at the plant) on any first release Z-06 options.

If that's REALLY the market, then the

guy who bought Van Weele's in the upper 180's is already shopping for a tank.......
I've also noticed that Mecum has announced a Red/Black 63 ZO6 CV for the Bloomington auction.....apparently forgot to include the VIN......
