58 Single Four Barrel Air Cleaner

There are 30 originality and 30 condition points for a single four barrel air cleaner and element for a 58. How many points would I take for using the two piece air cleaner used by the later corvettes assuming the element and shredded steel were also used in lieu of the foam? My existing air cleaner, which may not be original since it does not have the brass grommet, has nicks, dings and scratches that I cannot polish out.

Judges will look at the air cleaner assy you present for judging and compare it to a known factory original assy from the era dividing the 30 originality points into a five axis universe (Finish, Date, Installation, Configuration, and Completeness). Figure you lose 6 originality points for each axis the non-original air cleaner you present for judging differs from that of a known original, then turn and consider the condition aspects of the assy.

Often, you come out better with a correct original part that has a ding/dent/scratch here and there than with a nice pretty reproduction part having detectable differences...
