    Doug------

This sort of a problem is caused by the carpet being cut "short" and improperly. The only thing I could suggest besides changing the carpet is to obtain another piece of carpet (for example, you may be able to cut a piece from an unseen area such as under the seats) and, using 3M cement or stitching, attach it so that it fits under the console and extends down far enough to cover the "exposed" area. This won't look perfect, but it will be fairly inconspicuous compared to what you have now. Incidentally, I've "been down this road before", myself. I corrected the problem as I described above and I was very happy with the result.

        Doug:

you may also want to verify (and you have already done this) that the front is properly "tucked" in and up in the grove of the console. The front screw in 78 has some adjustment range and if you can get the carpet/board to fit, you can secure it. This carpet piece has three screws...one behind the seat, one (If I can recall) in the middle of the seat and than the one toward the front.
