    55 manifold

I have come across a 4 bbl manifold # 3711348. It's listed as passenger car and Corvette. Any value here? Thanks

I would say about 150 to 200 pollywogs because 55 intake is like NO other

Sold one on eBay about three years ago for $125, so i'd lean to Roy's number as in the ballpark.

I gotta go with Roy, I've

seen a few of these (there's one on eBay at $86 and climbing now) it's a Corvette and Chevy 1955 only item, and just how many 4V 55's did the General make?

The General made a zillion 55 cars , 55 Corvette , who wonted them! They suck, that's why 700 , T-Bird was a classy sports car. I agree you can find intakes now and then ( mostly two barrel ), BUT oil pans rarely ever see one for sale. They bring $300.00 up or more. I have and keep one oil pan in case I run over your large frog and the pan is damaged.

Last time I went to one of the local yards,

there was a 55 Chevy with a modern V8 in it, but it musta been an abandoned project, because the original 265/PG was laying in the front seat! It was so complete I got the plastic bellhousing tag I needed from it.

doesn't it just make your day when you find a junkyard treasure? some of my most rewarding days have been spent in junk yards. just this past weekend visited a junkyard off limits to the public. my cousin knows the owner and we were looking to buy a rollback. the yard contains atleast a dozen 58 chevys and a half dozen corvairs. hoods haven't been raised since they were entombed there. place full of mean, hungry junkyard dogs. will go back later. must have been a couple hundred cars from the 50's thru 70's. couple of late 40's buicks and fords.junkyards such as this opne ranks right up there with the first time ya told yer girlfried to "quit yer grinin and drop yer linen" mike

let's hope there are no 59 caddy's there or you'll forget what your doing and stare at the tailights all day...
