    Transmission mounting bolts

Can somebody tell me if I have the correct 4-speed transmission mounting bolts to the bellhousing for my 65 sb car. The head marks on 3 of the bolts is an A. One bolt which is shorter is a P. Neither bolthead have any grade markings or other markings. Is this right? Thanks! Dick Gutman

    Dick-----

My recollection of the bolts used to retain the transmission to bellhousing is that they were ungraded (i.e. no "slash" marks). "A" and "P" headmarkings were fairly common on period fastners and were not common hardware store bolts. So, I'd say there's a good chance these are original.

Thanks Joe: By the way I enjoyed looking at your old Chevelle SS. A friend of mine Dennis Huber used to own a 69 SS 396 Blue with white interior. Those were my favorite years for Chevelles Dick Gutman
