vacuum advance c1

on my 1960 carb, 2818s there only one vacuum connection at the back
is this also the connection for the vac, advance ?

because when the engine runs at idle the advance does nothing but if i rev the engine a little the advance comes in quite good

is this correct ?

Sander: The left rear carb hold down stud in hollow. It screws into the manifold and the vacuum hose goes from it to the vacuum advance on the distributor. The source on the back of the carb is plugged.This special hollow stud is carried by all of the retailers. Can't help on the air cleaner. Just keep checking with the retailers. I don't know who makes them.
