I just thought I would post this pic. Of my 55 seat cushion foam before I had the covers put on years ago. They needed some attention to get them back to the original shape showing age , so I had them hot water steamed which reformed and soften the rubber making them look and feel NOS again. (which can be done to %90 of most cushions ) If you look close you can see the SA-3150 and part number and manufacturer that made them. Just a little trivia!

Re: 55 Seats
Roy,
Can you explain more about the hot water steaming process for seat foam? Who does this type of work? My Corvette seats are good, but nobody makes replacement foam for my 1970 Chevy pickup so this may be a good solution.
(BTW--I still think about you everytime I punch the gas on my '64 and it takes off vs. stalling like it did before you told me to scrape the paint off the distributor where the hold down clip makes contact. Changed my life!)
Thanks!

Re: 55 Seats
Many old shops have a steamer , they fill a tank with water , with a hose having a needle end which they poke in to the foam , pull trigger and wala! you can see the cushion ex spane and the rubber soften. You just have to call around and ask. The old guys even had a adapter to steam the out side taking all the wrinkles out. Works great on soft tops the best .- Top
