On '66-'67 brake booster is a (semi-milky nylon color) check valve. The judging manual (which calls it something else) describes it as having two concentric rings. I've come across two differing AC parts that both may be correct. One has two concentric rings not counting the outer case as a ring and within the inner ring is a "hole".The second is the same except the inner ring is absent but the molded hole is still present. Both have the small molded AC letters on their sides and the ribs retaining the hose and grommet are identical. Does any one know of correct usage of these two parts?

Re: POWER BRAKE CHECK VAL
NCRS member Fred Oliva (also clutch rebuilder) has done EXTENSIVE research in this area repleat with original GM supplier drawings to understand the history of this part and its running changes. I think Fred has a pretty knowledgeable answer for you as he's had me make junk yard runs for him and a few of his friends doing similar era restorations.
Problem, Gene, is it was 2-3 years ago and my mind is foggy. So, any "facts" I'd offer are faulty/fogged by time. You can reach Fred directly at:

Re: POWER BRAKE CHECK VAL
One basic source where you can view what was typically installed by the factory is in Noland Adam's book. I've got the original Chevrolet blueprints on this part & they correlate with the factory shots in Nolands book. Also viewed the same part on known survivor cars.
If you wish, I can email an image anyone who wishes what I belive is the typical installed check valve for th 1964-67 era.
Hope this helps,
Fred Oliva
