71 RFI Shield

My 71 was missing the rfi shield found in the dist. In talking to John Prikle who restored my alternator, he told me he had them for sale and so I bought one. I showed this pic on the CF and a respected NCRS judged noted I was missing the other half of the shield. Can you experts confirm this as this is the only piece John sent me.

While it is not the entire shield, it is all you will need for judging. I'm not sure how just half of the shield attaches to the base plate. I know they have holes for screws, and I believe just two screws are used to attach the complete unit. I suppose there is one screw hole in each half. I hope that this half can be attached well enough that it doesn't move around and contact any of the parts. The later situation will not be good.

I hear you. This half does have a screw hole and did come with the screw. I'll have to see how stable it is once it's installed.
