C3 Firewall

I realize this is going to sound stupid but.... On the outside firewall I am trying to purchase a the heater box that the the blower motor bolts to. It seems to be fiberglass and I have yet to find anyplace that sells it or I am not searching for the correct info.

This is for a 69 stingray.

The part you seek is long-since GM-discontinued and is not currently reproduced. So, your only option is going to be good used. You may find these on eBay. Also, check with a used Corvette parts source like Pacific Corvette of Puyallup, WA or Contemporary Corvette of Bristol, PA. For non-AC cars, this piece is common to all 1968-79 models, so you have a wide range to obtain one from.

Brian, I have had good luck finding used parts for my C3 at Corvette Connection in Bolton, CT, www.corvette-connection.com, 860-645-0184.

Although it might not make as much difference in a heater box, when buying a used part I have found that it a good idea if you let the seller know what condition you expect the part to be in (original vs. sprayed with undercoating by Bubba)and its intended use (flight judging or driver). I had one guy refuse to sell me a dash panel when he found out that I belonged to NCRS. He said that NCRS people were too hard to please. I took that as a compliment. Good luck, Bill
