    John,

A '57 resistor should be 15 ohms - don't know if 58-62 is the same (see NCRS message #18122). The required resistor must be wirewound. Radio Shack does not carry anything close in the stores that is capable of handling the wattage (hp) required at that resistance. I am getting ready to experiment with 2 @ 8 ohms in series. It will double the power carrying capability (30 watts), plus the resistance. If I find a more suitable resistor, I will change it over later. Here is a link for the ones I am using. Since I had to buy 25 of them (!), I wouldnt mind sending a couple to you if you wish.
