1964 Help, You People are Great!

There seems to be a problem with the car from the info given to me. The car is actually a "Riverside Red" roadster with Black interior and a 365hp 327. Since the car will eventually need paint that may not Be a big deal but the engine and interior bother me greatly. There is no sign of the interrior ever being BLUE inside or SILVER BLUE outside. Could anyone possibly explain this or let me know what else I should look for. I have apparently been told by peoples responses that the engine matches the car. Now I could really use info about the interrior. I will be paying cash within one week, up to $20k. If anyone knows anybody who may want to sell a 63 - 67 vette with matching numbers please forward their information. I also need help choosing between this car and another 1964. Number on engine: 4107178 F0924RE

This car had been restored 10 years ago. Will eventually need a paint job. Nice interrior, 160K miles. One thing that makes me nervous about this car is that the original DD plate with the VIN number has been popped of and a new one spot-welded in its place. At least it looks newer than the trim plate and the original rivits are not there but seems as thought it's spot-welded. Also the numbers on the engine 4107178 seem to be slightly different from F0924RE. The owner has told me that the person he bought it from said it was a "correct" car with matching numbers. If anyone could tell me what a approximate price range would be for this car, that would be great. Also other than what I have mentioned the car is immaculate in, out, and underneath.

I read it as a 1964 convertible with silver blue exterior, dark blue interior with leather seats, and a 365hp engine. Engine was assembled in Flint engine plant 9/24/63, body was built in December '63, and the car was built during the last week of December production.

Concerning the second part of your post - specifically about the VIN plate. Although I would hope for confirmation from the more knowledgable members, I would have thought that a spotwelded VIN plate was proper for '64.
