    Air compressor lines

When you gentleman with home shops hooked up your air compressors did anyone use galvanized pipes and if you did, did you have any trouble with galvanization coming off the inside of the pipes. Just bought a TP Tools blast cabinet and saw in the fine print not to use anything but black iron pipe.
    Thanks for your time,

          Pete

Any compressed air or gas line can never use galvinized pipe. The flow of compressed air thru the walls of the pipe create a ripping on the walls of the pipe causing the galvinize to break off small particles. Best use is copper or black iron or SS.

          Good Luck

Thanks guys, I looked at the prices TP Tools was getting for their pipe kits and went to my local hardware and could assemble the system for half the cost if I did myself even in galvanized pipe. When I got home I saw the fine print note about black pipe only. If I had not pulled my back out two weeks ago, I would be looking at completed system with all galvanised piping. Thanks for the advice,
