Re: Judging meet atmosphere
Consider it a definite 'casual' dress environment! Remember judges have to do chassis work which entails 'crawling' on the floor, so you're NOT going to find them dressed in a tux!
Be comfortable and if you intend to volunteer as an observer judge, a few words of advice... Having sharp objects in your pockets that could pierce/scratch a car is not a good idea. Plus, wearing a belt with a pronouced metal buckle that could scratch when leaning over a fender is a definite 'no no'.
Jeans, tennis shoes and a casual pull-over shirt/sweater will serve just fine. Have a ball!!!- Top

If you see this guy, you MAY be at the wrong meet; last time I saw him he was behind the counter at AutoZone

Re: Official NCRS Judging Uniform - OUCH!!
Seeing this thread made me dig into my archives. Now here is an official NCRS Judging Uniform from the 1985 National Convention up in Danvers, MA! Back when judges were REAL MEN!! Don't know who this is personally, but I think that tag says John Nelson.
I'm pretty sure he had pants on... mmmm, pretty sure. But I guess you'll have to ask John.
