ok I am going to start using this oil, my question is why does this oil are the others not have a 20w-50? will this 15w-40 do in the heat of south east Texas?

I don't know why CI-4s are 15W-40 instead of 20W-50, but they are suitable for ambient temperatures from about 15F to well over 100 - anywhere on the planet.

The absolute viscosity ranges of a 10W overlaps 15W and likewise for a 40 and 50, so at any given temperature, there is not that much difference between the two.

well this week end the mobil is going in the 454, sure it will do great.
