I am putting together an order at GM Parts direct.

Can someone provide the modern part number for the aluminum radiator petcock used on a '61?

Hi Mike,
The number I have from an old box is 3150906. This was in group 8.951. It consisted of an aluminum petcock, a hex coupling, and a 2 1/2 inch nipple.
Maybe others can add more info.

Per the 1990 GM Parts History Book, this part is discontinued without a replacement...

Paragon has what you need - #601 petcock, #935 extension, #44 coupling.

There is currently no aluminum radiator petcock available from GM under any part number. There used to be several different part numbers, but all are long-gone. The reproduction that John mentioned is "the only game in town".
