    Correct Radiator

I need to purchase a replacement 4-row copper radiator for my 69' Coupe. I believe the core support has been replaced at one time so I am not sure which radiator this is exactly for. When I measure the core of the existing radiadtor, I measure 26.5 inches (4-row). Replacement radiators are either 26 or 27 inches wide.
Is their any way of measuring the distance between the raditor support brakets (center to center) to determine accurately which radiator I need?
My fan shrould is # 3956109 if that helps.
The car originally was a L-46, M-21, 3.70 with NO options.
Any suggestions on where to get a good price on a copper replacement radiator would be most appreciated as well.
    Thanks!

DeWitt radiators are the best. Tom will be able to help you with all the dimensions you are working with. I have one of his radiators in my 66. Perfect fit and function.

      Re: Correct Radiator

The radiator you're looking for is losely defined by GM as 26-inch despite what you now measure. The last I checked, factory originals were long discontinued and you needed to shop for any old stock squirreled around here/there (eBay?) if you wanted one that would pass the muster of judging.

If you're not interested in factory correct/original, then you can get a drop-in replacement from Modine that'll be cost effective and function A-OK for a driver application.

If you DO want factory correct, there's another alternative. That's to shop the Corvette 'bone yards' for a used original that's been damaged or is in need of a complete overhaul. Licensed reproduction house, DeWitts, makes a 'correct/original' core (their number BC3) that you have your local radiator rebuilder simply move the end tanks onto from an original donor radiator...
