1962 Wonderbar radio

Hi, Does anyone out there know where an original Wonderbar radio for a 1962 Corvette can be found that works and does not cost $600 or more? I need one that is just driver quality, I have the new knobs already. Do radios from other models work? I have one from an olds, but the tuning and volume control are too short to go through the dash. If I could find someone who could fix this radio and install the correct face and controls with the right length for the dash, that would be nice too. Thanks for any help, Rick

I think that a 62 Wonderbar that works for less than $600 is not very likely.

Hi Rick

First of all as John mentioned, you won't find a working wonderbar for under $600.00... I paid $450.00 to get mine rebuilt.. Any 58 - 61 vette radio will fit and work. Corvette central offers new am fm cd and am fm cassette radios from $170.00 to $260.00 that fit right in.....But then you take away originality.Keep checking Ebay, I've seen some on there and check in the Drive Line book. You might see one in there. Also in the Drive Line are Radio restoration places that might have some.
