    67 REAR SPRING

    I JUST REMOVED THE REAR SPRING ON MY 67 COUPE AND THERE ARE 7 LEAF DESIGN NOT THE 9 LEAF. ITS NOT A F41 CAR BUT ITS A 400, A/C, P/S, P/B, P/W,TILT,TELLI, AND J-56 OPTION. COULD GM PUT THIS SPRING IN FOR BETTER RIDE HEIGHT ??? LOOKS TO BE ORIGINAL CORRECT ANGLES WERE CONTROL ARMS BOLT AND CURVED UP ENDS ??? NEED HELP THANKS JOE

    There's no ride height difference between the standard 9-leaf spring and the 7-leaf F41 spring; only the deflection rate at design height is different. Most likely a previous owner installed it at some point to replace the original 9-leaf spring.

    Turn off your caps lock key - all caps are hard to read, and it's considered as shouting.

      Joe,

      The spring I removed from my '67 400HP car was the same as you described. It too appeared original, but I replaced it with a 9 leaf spring. I wonder if others have removed what appeared to be an original 7 leaf spring, as ours did.
