Motor Painting

When painting the motor by the intake manifold, is there over spray on the intake, the answers yes, but how do you accomplish this, card board cut-out? Especially on the heads near the center of the intake. I've got a 68 427/390 power steering, power brakes, non air. thanks, jc

If you have access to Vol9 # 5 of Corvette news, there is a good article on the assembly of a 427 at the factory. Thers is a brief mention of "pre-formed masks" being used to cover areas not to be painted, and a small picture of the engine paint line.
