Can anyone tell me the size of the date stamp letters inside the tire tub?

The letter and number height on the date stamp in my tire tub is 1/4". My date stamp is Jun 1 1966.

Mine is the same as Gary's Jun 20 1966 1/4" in white.

Thanks to all who responded. TIM, How far ahead was the stamp to the date that your car was assembled. Thanks a lot for the photo. That answers a lot of questions.

Hi Jack,
Went to look at stamp on my tub - found none.
Does anyone know when the stamp started? I have a March 64 car. The tub was removed in the early 70's along with the original spare, its very clean and the four small bolts that hold it up are still shinney. So is a date always found here? Was it paint or crayan - could be cleaned with household product?

In my judging manual it says that there is a date stamp on the inner surface of the tub and it is in white ink, Just like the picture sent earlier. My stamp has been rubbed off many yeras ago so I asked what size it was etc. Now I need to know how far ahead of the car assembly were the tubs made / stamped.

Hi Jack,
I have an original unrestored '67 that was built on Sept. 23 '66 and the tire tub is stamped August 5 1966. Hope this helps you out .

Jack - My 1966 Convertible was assembled June 17, 1966 (with the tub stamping date of May 17, 1966)....s/n 24431. Tim
