    Speedwarning Buzzer

The speedo has the knob and the needle to set the speedwarning, so I assume the car started life with it. Either I'm looking in the wrong spot or it's been removed. According to the 67 AIM, I have looked on the instrument panel brace, behind the ignition switch on a small sloped portion of the brace. I see two holes there as the AIM drawing shows. The AIM only shows the buzzer at these two holes, but I have one hole that has a black wire from the center wire of the radio harness, the other hole looks like there may have been a washer there at some time but not now. Is this the correct place for it and what color wires should I be looking for. I also couldn't find the wiring for this in the AIM. I have a/c so from the steering wheel to the outside is difficult to see without removing the ductwork. Thanks for your help.

    Terry -

The speedwarning wiring is a separate small harness (wire assembly) that was taped to the dash harness, as shown in the U15 sheet in the A.I.M.; Lectric Limited has it for $16.00.
