The original window crank handles on my 57 are about to be sent to the chrome shop. The shop wants the knobs on the cranks removed prior to chroming. Of course they leave that to me. Does anyone have advice on how to remove these knobs, and better yet, how to replace them so that it looks like they were attached with the original fastener? Thanks, Wayne.

Re: C1 Window Crank
Wayne..if you are not in a hurry..you can probably find NOS 57 window cranks by advertising for them in the driveline..or searching the web.
Roy is right..they are around...but also are not all the same. If I can find my box of window cranks I will post a picture.

Re: C1 Window Crank
Roy..sorry to say..I am not that special. Years ago I met a guy whose father had a vintage salvage yard..he was cleaning out..so I bought boxes of window cranks, vent cranks, wcfb's etc..even the rare Coca Cola Machine his father installed in 1946 or so.
Some of the parts were worthless and some were gems...some I sold and some I still have...including the Coca Cola Machine. I still have a few of the old wcfb's too..they were $5 a piece back then!
You know the drill.
