62 side window glass

Hi all

I'm about to put my side windows in my doors for the first time in my 62 vette. What I need to know is, can I put the glass in first and then the stainless mouldings and the felt that go on top of the door after? Or do I need to put the felt and mouldings first? Can someone tell me the order of putting the glass, mouldings, felt?

The "Glassman" has a nice write up for assembling the doors for 56-62 corvettes. Window assembly included.

Blains me for getting him into Corvettes back in 68. Took him for a drive in a 54 Corvette I had just gotten for $50.00 . That's when I started Vintage Corvettes of Southern Ca. ( and still going) For 53 to 55 only , then a month later I found a FI 57 for $150.00 and changed the club allowing 53 to 57 only . We were all so dumb about Corvettes back then installing Buick, olds and cad engines in them and throwing away many original parts. I remember when Sam started NCRS he held a Corvette convention in Berkeley Ca. Came all the way from the east and I think 7 people showed up > He said he wound never come back to Ca. Again. And it was many years before he did.
Man it was so much FUN back then ,the Corvettes, the people, because the money thing dint yet become what it is today.
I miss those days , mostly the people, we're so few now and some of us are looked at as if we don't understand why paint over spray and chalk marks are such important things. So we must not care because some of us still drive our Corvette . Oh well!!!
