    C2 heater core shut-off/bypass

Does anyone have a picture of a valve installed to by pass the heater core, or comments about the installation? (I realize that it is not factory correct)

No picture, but what I have seen is two 90 degree 3/4" copper elbows with a very small section of copper pipe soldered between them, forming a "U". This makes for a very compact and secure bypass. The 3/4" bypass is inserted into the hoses and clamped down. Of the two I have seen, one is installed and the other is an emergency only repair part. Of course, since the one hose is 5/8" it will require a bit of work to get the copper pipe in it but it can be done.

I made the "u-shaped" bypass that Gary describes out of standard copper pipe fittings soldered together. Total cost was under $3.00 and it works great!
