Need to replace/repair the switch that has a broken case. They seem to be very $$$. I would think that GM would have used an "off the shelf" switch and made a new mounting bracket to work on the 67 powerglide. Does anyone have info on what other switches used the same case and slider? If anyone has a switch that they replaced that has a good case, I would be interested.

Yes, they are very expensive. That's because the they've been discontinued since July, 1986 and are not currently reproduced. This sort of situation tends to cause high prices for available units.
The GM #1993411 switch was uniquely applicable in PRODUCTION to 1967 Corvettes with Powerglide. It later became the SERVICE switch for 1965-66 Corvettes with Powerglide, though. All of the Corvette switches for 63-67 were uniquely applicable to Corvettes.
Undoubtedly, some of the components of these switches were the same as those used for other applications. Just which components interchange I do not know. None of the components were ever available seperately in SERVICE, so there's no way to tell from that information. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Yes, you can buy one from NAPA and changout the switch using your old bracket. You have to arrange the terminals and hook up wires etc., but if you are handy with that sort of thing, you can repair it yourself. I do not have the NAPA number here at home, I can get it for you if you want.- Top
