I have two Corvette valve covers that have been in my garage for over 35 years. They have the casting flaw through the "O" of Corvette. #3767493 with "Lester" on the inside. What years do these belong to?

Re: ID Valve Covers
IIRC late 59 through 67 and varies for HP in each year, not for base 300HP 67. Hope someone either confirms this or provides corrected information. I too have a pair.

Re: ID Valve Covers
The casting flaw also got worse in valve covers sold over the counter in the 70's and later. Original '66-67 era covers ave a very fine casting flaw thet is only shightly noticable. Covers sold in the mid-70's and later got so bad the "O" on Corvette was partially filled in.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: ID Valve Covers
Another set of 7 rib cast valve covers in my collection of parts have offset holes and 3 inch long notches adjacent the upper holes. There is no casting flaw and the height of "Corvette” appears to be same as on the L66-67 valve covers. For what years and HP engines were these appropriate?
Thanks, Kent #6201Kent

But...
early cast aluminum covers used 9-rib construction and low relief Corvette script. He said these were 7-rib covers with staggered mounting holes and high relief script which dates them to the late '58 through early '59 era (before '59 cylinder heads changed to straight across valve cover mounting holes)....- Top
