People What is the difference between the glovebox and steering wheel on the '63 compared to the rest of the midyears. Also when did the '63 become the "late" rather than "early"? Thanks for the info Roger

Re: difference between '63 & the rest
Roger, The glovebox door on a 63 is molded with clear plastic in one piece. You can't take it apart like the 64-up models. The steering wheel flat metal spokes has a circular pattern, or finished grain in it, starting in the center and radiating out to the wheel itself. The 63 wheel is colored the same as the interior code, and has a pronounced texture molded in the wheel. Early ,for steering wheel design is #18400 and earlier. Very early gloveboxes, 3700 and before, didn't have a door support under the door attaching to the vin/trim tag crossbar. Early and late ITEMS have to reference EACH item separately. Bob ( Ps. Get the 63 judging ref. manual)- Top
