Howdy all!
From time to time I check the NADA price guides to see what "THEY" feel my '69 dual top, 350/350, with 4spd is worth. After all, my car (like my home) is an investment. On November 2, 2005 the "Average Retail" was listed at $27,481. Considering what I paid, this figure made me happy. Today (April 1, 2006) the "Average Retail" was listed at$35,733. I said to myself "holy smokes"! Can somebody tell me why there would be such a difference ($8252 to be exact) in such a short time? Is this just an April Fool's Day joke? I tried to find the value in the Kelley Blue Book, but it didn't go back to 1969. Is the current market that strong for these "bumper cars"? Is NADA's "perceived" increase in value an accurate indication of what my car's value might be? My car also has a luggage rack, louver kit, and the factory sidepipes. Do these options add anything to the NADA pricing values? Thanx you all once again for your time and help!
