Hi All

I need some help on settings. It's been awhile and I forgot.The distributor was pulled and wires removed without my consent, now i'm not sure.

First of all, I have a 1962 vette 4 speed, 327 engine 250 HP.. Where on the cap is #1 plug wire ?. Which side of engine are 1 3 5 7 cylinders, drivers or passenger?. What is the timing # setting? Point gap ? Dwell setting on meter , spark plug gap?

to stars 1, 3, 5, 7 are on the Driver side with #1 in the frony. Dwell is 28-32, points new 0.019, used 0.016 timing 4 deg BTDC (although I like to advance it to pinging and back down just a smidge, say 12-14). As for the location on the cap for #1, with the cap clips pointing directly to each side and two spark plug ports directly forward, the port on the pass side is #1 and the other is #2. Plug gap.035 This is assuming all standard 250 hp components. I hope this helps, now I'm going under to finish a clutch job on my 61. Good Luck!!!

You may also need the firing order "18436572"
