what all is required to make this change? Do I have to have my computer recalibrated? I am in N.C., anyone know of a shop that is good at this type of stuff?

Re: C6...Rear gear upgrade...anyone know
Justin,
I have no particular experience with C6, but any post 1996 vehicle will need a computer update if one changes the rear axle ratio or dramatically changes the tire diameter. The anti-lock brakes will set a malfunction code with either of those changes. In the case of the C6 I suspect the anti-slip regulation and/or the active handling will adversely be affected without a computer reflash. Modern cars are, by design, not so easily modified as the old ones.Terry- Top

go over to the corvette forum as the guys
over there do stuff like this all the time and there will be someone from your area that will know who can do this. this is not cheap about $2500 because you can not just buy the gears, you must buy a complete rear gear assy. it is also about a 8 hour labor to change- Top
