Could this be legit? The pictures I've seen of the Purple People Eater car had the white circle (for the number) entirely on the hood. Also, I could not find any pictures of the car with the 56-57 fake cooling scoops that this clip appears to have. Finally, its a one-piece clip. Thoughts?

Ken and Chip Miller were involved in the restoration of the Purple People Eater years ago. Ken did a lot of painting of older Vettes in the 70's. its probably legit although i'm not certain. mike

Off the top of my head, I am unaware of

any crash involving Jeffords circa 58/9 that would have resulted in the installation of a one piece fiberglass front.
