c-1 engine date code

Looking at my date code on my 1957 block it reads C47, the numbers on my pad read F307EG, is it possible that this engine was cast then used this quickly after the build date

no problem with close proximity of casting date and machine assembly date. mike

I recall one engine that was cast and machined on the same day. Have seen many that were one day apart.

putting my 1957 2x4 engine together, the intake manifold how much if any over spray should be on the alum. manifold, and bolts. The exhaust manifold how much over spray on it and surrounding bolts and french locks thanks in advance
